How Lucky Are We?
Hey!
I'm Dave Steadham AKA "Coach D". This year I am excited to be teaching 7th Grade World Geography again here in Amazing Naples, Italy. I could not be more blessed. Teaching World Geography here in Europe really comes alive as we are not only able to study it within the classroom, but can see it, touch it, and feel it as we go out into the comunitty around us.
Course Description:
This year we will be learning about the world we live in by examining the different regions and nations of the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Central and South America. By looking at geography, current events, recent history, and technology we will get a better understanding of the diversity this planet has to offer and the challenges all cultures face.
As a student in this class you will be asked to "think outside the box" and look at the world from different perspectives. I am a great fan of debate and student-based projects. As a class we will engage in many discussions on both current topics as well as recent history. We will look at how geography can have such a major influence over culture and society. We are so blessed to be living in such a diverse culture ourselves that we will be using each of our own personal experiences to help expand the class’s overall outlook as a whole.
